Life, Aligned is run by me, Jen Wright, as a sole trader. Your privacy is very important to me, so please get in touch if you have any queries regarding the data I hold about you.
TL;DR
This policy is quite long, even though I’ve tried to keep it snappy! So in case you just need the gist, the only data I hold is:
That which you directly and intentionally provide yourself when subscribing to my newsletters, booking my services, using the contact form, joining the Aligned community, or purchasing products.
Your IP address (encoded and not visible to me) and information about your interaction with my site, but only if you opt in to allow cookies when you first land on my website.
I use your personal data to interact with you in the way you have signed up for. I use data about your interaction with my site, if you share it, in a general overview of monthly activity so I know where to make improvements to my site.
General information
Sharing your data
Under no circumstances is your data ever sold or rented to a third party. Who am I, Meta? However, I may share your data in the following circumstances:
To service providers and affiliates (Stripe, Acuity Scheduling, Royal Mail) who assist in the delivery of my products and services.
To third parties if I believe that disclosure is necessary to comply with the law.
To enforce or apply my terms and conditions, or to protect the rights, property or safety of myself or others. This may include exchanging information with other companies and organisations for fraud protection and credit risk reduction.
Access to your data
You have the right to request a copy of the information I hold about you. If you would like a copy of the personal information I hold, please contact me. You also have the right to be forgotten, so you can contact me to request the data I hold be deleted.

What data I collect and where it’s kept
If you book my mentoring services, I collect your name, email address, phone number, business name and website. This data is held within Squarespace and Gmail.
If you join the Aligned Community, I collect your name, email address, postal address and phone number that you share during check out. This data is held within Squarespace and Gmail.
If you order a physical product, I collect your name, email address, postal address and phone number that you share during check out. This data is held within Squarespace, Gmail and Google Docs (for postage label printing).
Why I need it and how I use it
I need to know this basic personal data in order to contact you regarding your product or service. You will not be added to any other marketing lists unless you have opted in to those yourself. How long I keep it
I am required under UK tax law to keep your basic personal data (name, address, contact details) for a minimum of 6 years. After this point your information will be kept until you notify me otherwise; you have the right to be forgotten so contact me if you would like your data to be deleted.
Non-customer enquiries

If you have enquired about my services via the contact form on my website, I collect your name, website and email address. This information is held within Squarespace and Gmail.
Why I need it and how I use it
I need to know this basic personal data in order to contact you regarding your enquiry. You will not be added to any other marketing lists unless you have opted in to those yourself. Email subscribers
What data I collect and where it’s kept
I collect your name and email address when you opt in to my email list. This data is held in Flodesk.
Why I need it and how I use it
I use this information to stay connected with you through my business - this means that I will send you monthly (and sometimes less than monthly!) emails to inform you about new blog posts, services, and offerings. And just to say hi!
How long I keep it

What data I collect and where it’s kept
I may collect your IP address and information regarding your location and pages accessed, but only if you opt in to the use of Cookies when landing on this site. This data is collected and stored in Squarespace.
Why I need it and how I use it
This allows me to analyse my web traffic and see where I need to make improvements. This analysis is about general trends rather than you as an individual, and your IP address is encoded and not visible to me.
